SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School & Nursery

Our Sunday School provides creative and adaptable lessons that teach the foundations of our faith. Our intent is to instruct and inform our young ones in such a way that the ancient stories and Biblical narrative might be revitalized and learned anew. Our children enjoy a short Children’s Sermon during service, before heading off to Sunday School, where that lesson is brought to life and meaning through discussion, projects, crafts, and centers.

Nursery care is available during the service for younger children, and lessons are provided each Sunday for those of school age. Children are also welcome to remain with the congregation during certain Sundays throughout the year, to share in worship and discussion and to enjoy sharing The Lord’s Supper during “Open Table Communion.”

Children of all ages enjoy our annual child-centered traditions, including Make-Your-Own Sundaes on the day that Sunday School begins in September, Trick-or-Treating at the Hartmeadow Village homes prior to Halloween, and Children’s Sunday in June, when the children lead us in service. Our other activities include a December Christmas Pageant and Advent Night, where the children set up the creche and we join in singing Christmas carols.
