MARK DITERSMinister (retired)
Our minister, the Rev. Mark Diters, retired in May 2025 after 16 years with the congregation. He was called in 2008 after a national search. Before coming to Flagg Road, he served as Associate Minister at the South Congregational Church of Granby, Connecticut.

Mark received his Bachelor’s Degree from Bates College and after graduate study at Princeton Theological School and Hartford Seminary, Mark received his Master of Divinity from Yale University. Mark lives in Canton with his wife Susan. They have three grown children and six grandchildren.

Mark is active in mission work including hands on service as well as engaging transformative systemic change. He is past president of the Christian Activities Council (now the Center for Leadership and Justice) and his hands-on efforts include mission trips and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together Hartford.

REBECCA CALISSI
REBECCA CALISSIDirector of Music
Rebecca Calissi joined the Flagg Road church community as Music Director in 2014. She received her undergraduate degree in Piano Performance and Voice from Huntingdon College and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is an Instructor of Music at Eastern Connecticut State University and maintains a thriving private piano studio in South Windsor.

Rebecca is responsible for coordinating the music for each service, conducting the choir, inviting guest musicians to perform, and providing solo music and accompaniment on organ and piano. The music at Flagg Road ranges from traditional works by Buxtehude and Bach to contemporary service music by composers such as Mark Hayes and John Rutter.

ALLI WRIGHT
ALLI WRIGHTSunday School Teacher
Alli is the Flagg Road UCC’s Sunday school teacher. She has been working with kids of all ages and abilities for many years. Currently, Alli is an early elementary school teacher in Newington. She enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog.
